TFN discount retail stock pick COST is up 12-17%
Posted June 5, 2008
Baltimore — (TFN): Our TFN discount retail stock pick Costco (COST) today announced that same-store sales gained 7% in the U.S. and 15 percent at international locations.
Not bad for a recession: The 9 percent gain for the whole company beat the 7 percent average estimate of 16 analysts, based on figures provided by Retail Metrics LLC. The shares rose $2.07, or 2.9 percent, to $72.88.
I recommended COST at $65 and $62 back in February 7 and March1.
We’re up 12% and 17.5%, respectively, at this level.
If you took our advice, hold on to your COST shares.
The initial recommendation was made in our Hot Stock Pick of the Week series. As it happens, we released a new recommendation today.
