Baltimore — (TFN): With four major international stem cell conferences meeting this week – as well as 16 more scheduled before the end of the year; now is a good time to update our list of stem cell researchers and related biotech companies.
News of such initiatives as the Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund teaming up with the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine to share research, as well as the press releases of a number of governors who have jumped on the stem cell support bandwagon, have helped keep biotech companies in the public eye.
Whether this will translate into real funding dollars in the long-term remains to be seen, but for the short term, it’s a field worthy of investor review.
The following list includes stocks with current share prices between $1 and $10, prices current as of September 25, 2009. These stocks have been listed in order of current price.
