Blogger’s note: Pharmaceutical companies are a well-known haven during a recession. The logic being that, while people may cut back on a lot, they’ll always buy their medications. But Big Pharma is currently bracing itself for a string of losses as its most profitable medications come out of their exclusive patents and face competition from generic drugs. So where can you find that recession safe haven now? In the same companies that Big Pharma is pursuing for the next generation of new medications:  Small biotech.
