Baltimore — (TFN): One of the benefits of spending twenty years in publishing is that people you know and have worked with over time send you their books. (I've done it to many friends and colleagues, past and present.) Sometimes, I admit, it is a mixed blessing. At other times, it is hard to put down the book, even though you already know most of what you're reading from conversations and email exchanges you've had with the author over the years.

Business building guru Michael Masterson belongs into the latter category. I have known him for many years — since 1993 to be overly specific. In fact, he played a crucial role in helping me develop the Taipan Group from a single financial newsletter with 17,000 subscribers into a flourishing publishing business with over a dozen services and 200,000 daily readers. So I can say with certainty that I've seen his models for wealth development, entrepreneurship and business-building work… not just for myself, but for others as well.

The crown jewel in Michael's series of financial self-help books, his just-released book Ready, Fire, Aim – Zero to $100 Million in No Time Flat documents a startling new way of looking at business growth. Michael identifies four stages of a business (infancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood) and points out the unique characteristics of each — with its own unique problems, challenges and opportunities. With Ready, Fire, Aim, any investor, business owner, or employee can now recognize these stages and instantly see how to propel virtually any business to the next level, maybe not “in no time flat”, but speedily and with purpose.

Masterson also refutes many of the biggest myths about starting and growing businesses. Providing in-depth insights and expert advice based on his real-life experience growing (literally) dozens of multi-million dollar businesses over the past two decades.

Perhaps Michael himself puts it best in the book’s introduction: “If you don't have your own business but are thinking of starting one, this book is for you. If you have a new business but can't get it to grow, you'll know how after you read this. If your business is already pretty large but has hit a plateau, don't worry. There are answers here for you. If your business is great but you are working too much, you can breathe easy. You are reading the right book. The answers are here.”

If you’re interested in building a business… building your wealth… or just building your level of business acumen to new heights, I strongly suggest you pick up a copy.
