The TFN Complete Guide to Solar Stocks between $1 and $15
Published on December 4, 2009
Volatiliy is a byword of solar stocks, and many think that’s the key to success with these plays: Trade ‘em, don’t hold ‘em.
But advances in industry technology like the EU Energy Institute recently announcing that existing solar panels have an expected lifetime of 40 years, rather than the previously-assumed 30 years will help push this green energy resource.
In addition to the longer projected lifespan, the costs of volume production and installation are decreasing as consumer demand (and government subsidies) increases.
As usage becomes a greater possibility on a grand scale globally, the “buy and hold” strategy will begin to apply.
